COVID-19 Protocol UPDATE: How Our Jamaica Team is Operating Safely

jamaica two-1In Jamaica, Advantage Communications Inc. (ACI), employs around 2,000 people in three locations in over 50,000 square feet of high-tech workspace.

During the pandemic, our number one priority has been to ensure the safety of our team and the seamless operations of our contact centers for our clients.

Therefore, Advantage Communications has enhanced its COVID-19 protocol to protect the health and safety of our employees, their families and their local communities.

We are now hosting several ACI vaccination days for our Jamaica-based employees and their families.

On Monday, September 6, onsite vaccinations were offered to all interested ACI staff and their family members at our Portmore call center site. A dedicated team of medical professionals were in attendance to answer questions, administer the vaccine and perform post vaccination observation.

Transportation was provided to all employees and their families, and staff members were scheduled with vaccination times to maintain all health and safety protocols.

The Vaccination Blitz was held in conjunction with the Private Sector Vaccine Initiative (PSVI).

As a result of the Vaccination Blitz, Advantage Communications saw 287 of its employees vaccinated. ACI also opened up the Vaccination Blitz to another BPO as we're dedicated to improving the health and safety of the entire  community.

In addition to the onsite pop-up Blitz, we have also been promoting local pop-up Blitz efforts around the community - so many more of our employees are vaccinated as a result.

We are performing consistent health monitoring within our contact centers

To ensure the safety of our employees, the health of their families and the wellbeing of our community at large, Advantage Communications is performing consistent health monitoring and COVID-19 safety procedures to prevent breakouts within our contact centers in Jamaica.

This includes day-to-day health monitoring upon entry to our buildings where we check for symptoms and exposure, testing new trainees to ensure they’ve been following COVID-19 protocols, and a variety of incentives to our employees who are vaccinated - including additional paid vacation, worry free paid sick time if they do contract COVID after being vaccinated, as well as many random prizes and drawings for those participating in making ACI a safer place to work.

When we do have positive cases, we do contact tracing and proactive testing to ensure the wider community safety of our team, along with immediate, extensive deep cleaning of our production work spaces.

jamaica one-1-1We are educating our employees on the importance of vaccines

Advantage Communications recognizes the importance of working together to educate our people on the facts of COVID-19 and support them in making informed decisions for their health and well-being and that of others.

We continue to provide COVID informational sessions as well as facilitating vaccination access via transportation and schedule adjustments to participate in the Private Sector Vaccine Initiative (PSVI).

Advantage Communications successfully hosted our first Vaccination Blitz at our Portmore location on September 6 and we are committed to continuing our campaigning efforts for the well-being of our employees and their families.

Here at Advantage Communications, we’re dedicated to playing our part in keeping our staff members, their families and our communities safer, as well as of course ensuring the seamless operation of our client’s customer service programs.
