Advantage Communications opens in Amherst
Charlottetown, PEI - Advantage Communications, headquartered in Prince Edward Island, announced July 14th that the company is opening its fifth call centre location in Atlantic Canada, in Amherst, Nova Scotia.
With plans to hire up to 50 people in the next few months, Advantage Communications is set to begin recruitment immediately.
Company officials were in Amherst last month to conduct a career fair and were pleased with the turnout of people.
“We are excited about the prospects that a location in Amherst will bring as we continue to provide meaningful jobs to Atlantic Canadians”, said Kent MacPhee, Advantage President and CEO.
“We had been considering this great community for a number of months and were so impressed with the people we met at our career fair, that we made the decision to locate here and plan to open the new call centre in August."
Mr. MacPhee referenced the strategic alliance between Advantage Communications and EastLink as having contributed to his company’s ability to continue to grow.
